Charitable work is trending. More and more people want to help others, or build organizations that can influence change, and there are multiple ways to do this. This workshop will help you understand what it takes to move from concept to implementation. For existing nonprofits, we’ll talk about how to avoid mission creep as an organization evolves and grows. Here’s a hint: it’s an art, not a science. Solid policies and infrastructure, purposeful and intelligent decision making, and good communication are all paramount. We will review the basics, examine some real-world scenarios facing nonprofits, and help you develop a readiness checklist that will answer the questions: Are you ready to start a nonprofit? Are you ready to grow? Is it time to step away? or, Are you ready to scale up?
