Laura Hatcher Photography is a Woman and Veteran Owned Small Business serving Alexandria and Northern Virginia with unique photographic support to community and military events, professional headshots and branding photography. The cozy studio is located on the ground floor of Crilley Warehouse at 218 North Lee Street.
How has the SBDC supported your business?
The SBDC has been a wealth of knowledge and resources for networking with other small businesses in the Alexandria area. The SBDC also recognized Laura Hatcher as the 2021 Alexandria SBDC Veteran of the Year, and as the runner up for the 2021 Virginia SBDC Veteran of the Year.
Something unique you are doing this holiday season with your business.
During the holiday season, Laura Hatcher Photography is completing a collaboration with the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond, VA, in preparation for the 27 January 2023 exhibit called “50 Years Beyond: The Vietnam Veteran Experience.” Laura Hatcher Photography was invited to travel throughout the state of Virginia to photograph 50 Virginia Vietnam Veterans. The new exhibit debuts to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accords.
Any holiday deals? No since I’m not really open during the month of December due to travel.
Favorite thing about the holiday season in Alexandria:
I love all the holiday decorations throughout the heart of Old Town.

I am thankful for the sense of community the Alexandria business owners have for each other.
Favorite Alexandria business to visit during the holidays (besides your own):
I love visiting my amazing business neighbors in Crilley Warehouse (Stylists At North, Monday’s Child and the new Velvet Wax And Beauty).
Favorite holiday tradition:
Decorating the Christmas tree with my family.
Highlight of the year (personal or business related):
Definitely meeting, photographing and listening to the interviews of 50 Virginia Vietnam Veterans.
