How long have you been in business in Alexandria? Almost 10 years, since March 2012 .
Tell me a little about your business(es): Ironistic was created by 3 friends striving to give web development a better rap by providing consistent quality and support, while positively impacting one’s online presence. As a full service digital agency, we impact one’s business or organization through strategy consulting, website design and development, integrated marketing, and hosting and maintenance services. Our clients range from sole entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies, all over the world.
How did you first learn about the SBDC? Gloria Flanagan and I became friends a few years before Ironistic’s inception. As soon as my husband and I began discussing the thought of opening a business in Alexandria, I reached out to Gloria for guidance. As you can see, SBDC has made such a positive impact for us, that we are preparing for our 10-year anniversary in March!
Something unique you are doing this holiday season with your business(es): With many of our team members remote, and COVID still upon us, we plan to celebrate the holidays as a team virtually using our Gather.Town virtual office. Our office map has individual and group offices, various gathering and private nooks, a few embedded games, and an auditorium for our company-wide meetings. We are even decorating the virtual office for the holidays with the many tools Gather has to offer.
Favorite thing about the holiday season in Alexandria: Alexandria brings the holidays alive with the beautiful decorations that line the streets. We love the Boutique District’s cookie hunt, the energy of Market Square, and the effort its residents put into decking the halls!
Something you are thankful for: Ironistic is thankful for the overwhelming support of the Alexandria community. Our success is a result of our hard work and exceeding client expectations; however, we would be foolish not to recognize the guidance and support provided by those around us.
Favorite Alexandria business to visit during the holidays (besides your own): Too many to even begin to list, so I’ll leave it at… The Alexandria restaurants provide the nourishment that I do not have energy during the holidays to put together. The small retail businesses provide the unique gift ideas that always bring smiles to their recipients. And City Hall helps us prepare for another RUN! GEEK! RUN! 5K event, slated for 25 September 2022.
